Growing Raleigh Agency Partners with Distinguished Local Business Leaders

RALEIGH, N.C., October 23, 2003 – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) and Executive Education at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School are partnering to offer the Growth Strategy Seminar Series, a world-class learning experience to leading entrepreneurial executives in the Triangle. Mission House Creative, an independent marketing and communications agency in Raleigh, is sponsoring the program.

The partnership places outstanding resources, award-winning faculty, and a customized strategy and management program in the hands of emerging growth company executives. This unique program affords participants the opportunity to sharpen critical management skills and effectively impact the bottom line. Targeted toward entrepreneurial executives responsible for bottom-line revenue within successful launched, high-growth companies, the Growth Strategy Seminar Series is conducted in five daylong courses beginning March 19, 2004. Each session will include an interactive morning lecture segment along with an afternoon case discussion. This discussion will include participants’ own business plans and experiences, as well as a simulation exercise that will utilize the concepts and will span all five sessions.

Mission House Creative (MHC) has been involved with both CED and Executive Education at UNC-Chapel Hill for a number of years. The long-standing relationship includes development of CED’s annual membership directory and development of a successful brand image used to market all of UNC Kenan-Flagler’s degree and non-degree programs.

“The Growth Strategy Seminar Series resonates with MHC.” Says Carol Roessner, creative director and co-founder of Mission House Creative. “Our goal is to be a true marketing partner for our clients and help them manage some of the most critical components of business – thinking strategically, managing resources for growth, and thorough planning for market success.”
“This is an ideal partnership for all parties.” says Chris Bivona, director of business development for UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Executive Education. “We all learn from one another, and collaborating with a proven marketing partner such as MHC ensures coordination with our successful brand image.”

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development, located in Research Triangle Park, NC, is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1984 to stimulate the creation and growth of high-impact companies in the greater Research Triangle region. CED provides education, mentoring and capital formation resources to new and existing high-growth entrepreneurs through annual conferences, seminars, workshops and monthly programs on entrepreneurial management and finance. CED is the largest entrepreneurial support organization in the nation with more than 4,000 members representing 1,100 entrepreneurial companies, financiers and professional firms. www.cednc.org
