Growing Raleigh Agency Recognized for Excellence in Communication and Graphic Design

RALEIGH, N.C., June 22, 2003 – Mission House Creative (MHC), an independent marketing and communications agency, has received a Silver Summit Creative Award and an American Graphic Design Award for development of recruitment materials on behalf of UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Intended to enhance UNC Kenan-Flagler’s top-ranked image and increase enrollment in the business school, MHC developed a consistent brand image with the creation of four recruitment brochures. The promotional collateral specifically supported the MBA, EMBA, Executive Education General Management Programs and Executive Education Focused Seminars offered at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Already the results are in, as the quality of UNC Kenan-Flagler’s applicants is up. This can be directly attributed to Mission House Creative’s development of high-caliber, sophisticated recruiting tools for UNC.

“We are thrilled to have received these awards from such respected industry organizations.” says Carol Roessner, creative director and co-founder of Mission House Creative. “We consistently strive to produce excellent work that gives us personal pride and achieves our clients’ objectives; it’s nice to be recognized for that effort.”

The Summit Creative Awards were established to celebrate the creative accomplishments of smaller creative companies throughout the world. The Awards are open to advertising, video production, multimedia agencies and creative companies with annual billings of less than $15 million. The Awards, which began in 1994, have grown consistently over the years, with last year's competition receiving a record number of entries, more than 3,000, with participation from the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The American Graphic Design Awards is sponsored by Graphic Design:usa, a monthly business-to-business magazine for professional graphic designers and related creative and production professionals. The 2003 event, now in its 24th year, is among the most prestigious and most selective of graphic design awards with approximately 10% of entries being honored.

Since its inception in 1999, Mission House Creative (MHC) has been recognized internationally by the American Graphic Design Awards, PICA (Printing Industry of the Carolinas), and CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education). MHC is a marketing and communications agency offering an award-winning team of diverse creative talent in design, advertising and public relations. MHC’s mission is to help their clients achieve bottom-line business goals by providing the knowledge and insight necessary to anticipate change, strategically position their products and services for success, and achieve real results through sharp thinking and well-founded creative. The agency’s national clients include Biovail Pharmaceuticals, MDeverywhere, LipoScience, Canopy Systems and Octagon Entertainment. Regional clients include UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, North Carolina State University, Guilford College and Duke University Medical Center.
